What is the StressChecker for?

The StressChecker is designed for people who are interested in better understanding the do’s and don’ts for a vital and a relaxed way of life.

Der StressChecker zeigt Ihnen die Auswirkungen Ihrer Lebensgewohnheiten auf Ihr Stresslevel. You can use it to discover what activities and circumstances make you relaxed or tense. If you are an active athlete, the StressChecker can help you optimize your training and avoid overtraining.

The enclosed handbook includes an explanation of measurement results, tips for proper measurement, as well as suggestions on how to deal with stress.

USES
Described below are the main features of the software program.

Function 1. The Periodic Measurement
The “Periodic Measurement” is intended, on the one hand, to preventively check that your normal daily life is not compromising your overall fitness. On the other hand, if your ability to recover is now under strain, then you can use the Periodic Measurement to determine if a change in your lifestyle is paying off. This lifestyle change can be in a variety of areas. Consider healthier eating, more sleep, applying relaxation techniques and better relationships with the (work) environment.
Importance of detail information

It is important to look carefully at the progression of the score during the three minutes of measurement after each measurement. The graphs on the left show the result of the measurement results compared to the mean values (yellow lines) of individuals of the same age and sex. All measurements are saved.

Gradient Relax Index

With attrition Relax Index can see how relaxation levels develop over time.

Experiment
Function 2a. Free experimentation
This biofeedback measurement immediately shows the change in score, under the influence of, for example, calm abdominal breathing and/or evoking a positive mood.

Function 2b. Specific measurement

When the user suffers from stress, he can compare the effect of different relaxation techniques and therapeutic treatments. Consider acupuncture, massage or meditation. One simply takes measurements before and after.

If the user is an active athlete, he can measure the impact of his training style on his recovery ability. On a daily basis, he determines what best contributes to optimal training results.
Profiles

You can create unlimited profiles of family, friends and colleagues. All measurement data are stored separately. You can save the measurement data as a pdf or print it out. Health professionals, such as doctors, therapists, personal coaches, (sports) trainers, stress counselors, diet consultants, etc. can store profiles for their clients.
